How to Apply Online — Step by Step

Most applicants can now apply online through their IRCC account. Follow these steps:

  1. Create or log in to your IRCC account at canada.ca.
  2. Complete Form CIT 0002 (Application for Canadian Citizenship — Adults).
  3. Upload your supporting documents, including identity, PR status, and proof of physical presence.
  4. Pay the $630 CAD fee ($530 processing + $100 RPRF for adults).
